IT Support Analyst / IT Support Technician

Hays IT have been engaged by a manufacturing organisation to source an IT Support Analyst to join their busy team.

Your new role
Build, support and maintain servers, desktop PCs and laptops across the Territory
Excellent PC break/fix skills and problem solving abilities
Ability to investigate and support complex business applications and systems.
Client application deployment and troubleshooting
Progress UK&I Helpdesk enquiries by ensuring resources are used effectively
Maintain up to date records, policies and procedures as required by Group IT
Build, develop and maintain a knowledge base for IT fault remedies
Visit and support UK and Ireland sites according to requirement

What you need to succeed
Extensive Knowledge of Microsoft client operating systems (Windows XP Pro/Windows 7, etc.)
Knowledge of Application virtualization
Experience using Active Directory and performing user management tasks
Experience with Office 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, 365 suites and equivalent Outlook versions
Troubleshooting Printers and print servers
Exposure to Microsoft patch management solutions
Thorough working knowledge of HP and Dell workstations
Proven track record of being reliable and punctual
Some knowledge of Scripting – (VB Script, Powershell) desirable but not essential
Develop, maintain and monitor accurate records of IT inventory (hardware and software)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with experience of working in a team.
Ability to effectively handle multiple concurrent assignments
