I’m working with a growing sustainability consultancy who to provide a complete range of solutions for planning, property development and energy efficient built environments that offer long term sustainable benefits to all stakeholders.
Their daylight and sunlight assessment team provide specialist planning reports and expert advice on daylight, sunlight and overshadowing factors to maximise their clients development value.
Location: Working from their Reading based office. To start with you will be 100% office based but as you progress you will be able to create a more flexible hybrid working pattern.
Business area: Sustainability consultants working primarily with architects and local authorities.
Contract: Full time, permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + benefits
The role: Our client is looking for an IES Modeler to join their expanding team of sustainability consultants, and they are willing to consider junior to intermediate candidates. Based in their Reading office, your main responsibilities will be creating daylight and sunlight models, running SAP and SBEM calculations and planning energy strategy reports.
Using IES software you will be calculating equipment, specification, and heating/cooling loads. You will be involved from early design stages providing SBEM calculations results and offering recommendations. You goal is ultimately advising their clients on ways to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
What we need from you: The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a competent level of ability within the IES VE ecosystem. Preferably have an understanding of BREEAM/LEED and some experience in built environment projects. Ideally you will have a relevant masters with a sustainability emphasis. #4258654
