Housing Concierge- Homeless Hostel-Temp to Perm opportunity- Birmingham-From £11 per hour
Your new company You will be working for a nationwide charity fighting against social inequality with a homeless hostel based in the city centre of Birmingham providing temporary accommodation for the homeless. They’re committed to providing opportunities that support each person to find their purpose, develop positive relationships and experience a sense of community.
Your new role
You will be the first point of contact providing assistance in the housing management functions needed for them to gain independence. It is a pivotal role in ensuring their vision for high quality, outcome focused support services are delivered. You will be responsible for the signing in and out of occupants and visitors handling queries in a professional manner, arranging onward referrals to support staff where required. You’ll be managing additional front of house duties including telephone calls and external visitors as well as accurately recording messages, conducting follow up telephone calls, updating logbooks and handover reports.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will need to have a friendly and welcoming personality with the ability to build good rapport with the service users and external visitors that you will come into contact with daily. You will need to be able to deal with low level anti-social behaviour incidents should they arise in a firm and professional manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered full time hours at a rate of £11 per hour paid weekly. An excellent temp to perm opportunity with one of the biggest housing charities in the UK with an excellent training program. A DBS certificate will be provided should you not hold one already.
