As part of this, we are currently seeking for a permanent part time Housekeeping Supervisor based at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bromsgrove.

The shift pattern is Monday-Friday - 3:30pm to 8:30pm.

Your new role

Your key responsibilities will involve being responsible for the Housekeeping Services within all Trust locations, and to have specific responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of the Housekeeping Teams. You will also need to organise and regulate the issue of cleaning materials throughout all Trust properties, ensuring that the supply levels are reasonable. In addition, you will be required to be responsible for the below:
- Monitor usage patterns and ensure that all materials/goods are kept in a secure and safe storage area, regarding substances hazardous to health.
- Ensure correct and economical use of all materials and equipment.
- Investigate and report back, in the appropriate manner, on specific projects as identified by the Facilities Team Manager.
- Ensure value for money in the efficient control of all external contracts i.e. pest control, laundry, window cleaning/wall washing and female hygiene contract.
- Ensure effective disciplinary control within the department as necessary to meet the required performance standard.
- Undertake the responsibilities for the ordering of goods and signing off all appropriate paperwork.
- Carry out any ad hoc duties that the Facilities Team Manager feels are appropriate to fulfil the service needs.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in cleaning / maintenance / caretaker is needed to succeed in this role. NHS/customer service experience previous experience of cleaning in a clinical environment. Rewards and Benefits Hours of work.
You will be required to have confidence organising and appointing training, quality control, health & safety and staffing needs. Knowledge within cleaning services equipment, cleaning techniques and preparing staff rotas is required.

You have a contracted number of hours per week, which are exclusive of a meal break. The working pattern will be agreed with your Line Manager prior to your commencement. This working pattern can be flexed to meet your own and service provision requirements with reasonable notice.

Allowances are set out in the following table:

After 10 years NHS service 33 days + 8 days = 6.6 weeks
