Hays IT have been engaged by a large organisation to source a Head of IT Care. IT Care manages a complex set of IT services for over thirty-thousand customers.

Your new role
This role is to ensure day to day delivery of key IT services, management of all incidents, problems, service requests, and the provision of 24 x 7 IT Service Desk and Incident Management for multiple business units through dedicated skillsets delivering the services to agreed SLA’s.
Additionally you’ll ensure high quality End user Support, IT Access provisioning, IT Care Service bars, IT Ordering, Deskside support & Exec/event support management for multiple business units.
Alongside the IT Service Management Operations management team you’ll contribute to the development IT support strategy whilst continuing to improve service and reduce cost.
Through systems thinking and re-designing support, a key focus is on improving the end user experience and driving as much support to IT Self Service/Automation as possible.

What you need to succeed
Proven track record of using Systems Thinking to deliver significant improvements/transformation is essential Relevant ITIL and management qualifications
Proven large scale leadership capability with large teams either in multiple locations on or offshore.
Excellent relationship management skills and strong, persuasive communicator
Strong man-management skills
Strong industry knowledge
Strong IT background Excellent knowledge of leading teams delivering services to customers
Excellent understanding of Service Management (ITIL)
Excellent problem solver
Comprehensive Risk and Governance knowledge
Good appreciation of the company’s technology landscape
Proven track record at a senior level of managing technology issues
Successful management of major technology support teams
Experience of working with off-shore suppliers as a core part of the team
Delivering outstanding customer service
Experience of running large IT End User support functions
Strong commercial experience preferably with major suppliers
