Your new role
Reporting into the Group Managing Director and as part of the senior management team, your role will be to provide leadership to the Board’s accounting and finance strategy in line with the organisational growth plan. Providing exceptional leadership and management of the finance function, you will be responsible for all the financial systems, controls and reporting. Passionate about continuous improvement, you will ensure effective processes are in place to manage the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports and statutory annual accounts, liaising with external Auditors and taxation advisers where required. Contributing to strategic planning across all areas of business, you will challenge assumptions and decision making as appropriate and provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, targets and business drivers. You will review and ensure a robust budgeting and forecasting process and lead on capital requirements, disposals and acquisitions as appropriate. Commercially focused, the successful candidate will work with the senior team to sustainably grow the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with extensive experience of leading successful and forward thinking finance functions. With success in technical accounting earlier in your career, you will have worked in other successful SME businesses. You will have contributed to business growth and success through commercial input, effective analysis and sound decision making. Previous experience in manufacturing or distribution would be highly advantageous. Experience of international trading would be beneficial. Energetic, highly motivated with a passion for excellence and innovation, you will be highly customer focused.
