Finance Assistant (AAT studier)

An exciting organisation in the sustainability space is looking for a keen to learn AAT studier to join the team as a Finance Assistant. Ideally you will have some finance experience to build on, alongside your studies. This role reports into the Financial Controller and will be mostly office based, though some flexibility can be given. It is essential that you live within a commutable distance to Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire.
Your new role
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for:
- Generating sales invoices
- Allocation of payments
- Reconciling the bank accounts, entering transactions as required onto the system
- Generating purchase orders
- Placing orders for all non production items and ensuring you have followed these through until delivery, chasing up where needed.
- Supporting the Financial Controller with timely and accurate Payroll run for our employees
- Supporting the Financial Controller with all finance related issues
- Proactively chasing debt and forming relationships
- To ensure all invoices are processed and authorised within the agreed deadline and accurately
- To ensure that all expenses are checked and processed within agreed deadlines
- To work as a team member, pulling together to ensure that all deadlines are achieved
- To ensure effective lines of communication are maintained at all levels
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous accounts experience
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Good attention to detail
- Strong MS Excel and system skills
- Full UK driving license is recommended
- Positive and passionate, good team player
- Self-motivated and sustainably driven
What you'll get in return
This role is open to a variety of different experience levels, and offers a salary between £20,000-£30,000 taking experience and studies into consideration.
