I have recently partnered with the UK’s largest distributor of decorative surfaces specialising in flooring, laminates, and panel products. This business has an annual turnover of over £120 million with regional branches that offer nationwide coverage while being especially responsive to needs at a local level.

Your new role

They are currently seeking to hire a Field Sales Representative for the Swindon Branch to promote the company with customers and to generate sales enquiries and orders from both new and existing accounts whilst achieving budgeted sales targets within the designated territory.

Role duties:
  • Identify key accounts and build strong relationships with those customers, providing an excellent standard of ongoing customer care
  • Plan territory visits to ensure that customers are contacted at the required frequency
  • Be proactive and assertive in seeking new business and re-activating dormant accounts
  • Negotiate sales deals that will achieve budgeted margins, and which conform to the Company’s sales policies
  • Gather competitor and customer information and report weekly on general market activity to the Branch Manager Maintain a growing and existing customer portfolio
  • Using the IT reporting system ‘Sales-I’ to help manage, develop, and achieve sales budgets whilst updating and maintaining relevant market and customer information

What you'll need to succeed

  • Product knowledge of laminates, worktops, Flooring, Solid Surface, or panel products is an advantage
  • B2B Sales experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ sales experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Driving Licence and willingness to undertake travel

What you'll get in return
£30k to £35k
Car Allowance - £350 a month,
