I am working with a fantastic global recycling technology provider to recruit their next Field Sales Executive to be based from their central Scotland location. Scotland is set to launch a deposit return scheme (DRS) for drinks containers set in August 2023, the scheme means that retailers will have a legal obligation to accept single use bottles and cans back from consumers for recycling. This organisation provide the technology for capturing empty drinks containers. Their technology helps to enable Deposit Return Schemes (DRS), capturing bottles and cans for closed-loop recycling as part of the transition to a more circular economy.

Your new role

This is an exciting opportunity to bring sustainability to the independent retail/convenience sector and help retailers to meet the challenges of single use packaging.

The Field Sales Executive will build up the new market by making contact with retailers primarily and initiating relationships that can lead to new business. This will include field sales, cold calling and building the sales pipeline. The post holder will be involved throughout the sales process until contract signing and after go live, providing ongoing customer relationship management.

Travel across Scotland and the UK will be required for this role.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A full UK drivers license
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to work in a Sales environment
  • Be a strong communicator
  • Good relationship building skills
  • Experience in a similar role or Drive and ambition to develop a career in Sales.
  • An interest in sustainability
