Facilities Assistant

A temporary vacancy with a global FM provider in Belfast working with a prestigious client.

Your new company
Hays Belfast are currently representing one of the world’s largest Facility Management organisations. Operating in over 50 countries and employing over 500,000 people they strive to be the global leader in their field.
They now have immediate opportunity for an experienced Facilities Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your new role
Assisting the Facilities Manager with the daily management of day-to-day operations and covering in their absence.
Planning and co-ordination of works with management teams and supply chain.
Supervision of onsite FM team including Caretaking and cleaning staff as well as contractors, ensuring that all functions have sufficient cover.
As Facilities Assistant, you will be required to assist the helpdesk, taking incoming calls and emails from the client regarding both hard and soft facilities services and maintenance faults, prioritise work requests and assist in the resolution by delegating to maintenance engineers. With a focus on excellent customer service, you will update the client on progress of jobs and issue/file all requests accordingly.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have a 3rd level qualification along with experience in a similar role and have strong organisational and administration skills.
It would be beneficial but not essential to hold a Health & Safety Certificate and have knowledge and awareness of workplace health and safety risks.
An excellent customer focus and telephone technique is essential, as is reliability and a professional attitude. IT skills are essential, and whilst it is a given that you will have some Word/Excel skills, training on the in-house computer system will be provided.
