Your new company
A global shipping company based in Colnbrook, Slough is looking for an experienced fabric engineer/handyman to oversee the daily maintenance of its hub.
Your new role
This role will require you to carry out routine maintenance work on a site in Colnbrook, Slough. You will be instructed of the tasks by your Line Manager. Some of these tasks include:
- Prioritise maintenance tasks and complete them according to your terms of employment
- Update CAFM System Work Orders once tasks have been completed
- General works to fixtures and sometimes fittings (including putting shelves together, installing work stations, painting and decorating, signage installation and unblocking toilets)
- Ensure equipment and materials are both safely used and stored
- Inform your Line Manager of any defects on site, vandalised, unauthorised use of equipment and unauthorised entry
- Inform your Line Manager of any additional specialist maintenance work that needs to be carried out on site
- Follow Health & Safety guidelines to minimise risk to staff and visitors
- Completion of CBRE Hazard Identification Documentation
- Any other duties appropriate to the position that may be assigned from time to time
What you'll need to succeed
- Knowledge of the Health & Safety Act and COSHH regulations
- Experience working in similar roles
- Basic admin skills
- Ability to effectively prioritise tasks in order of importance/severity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
What you'll get in return
£25000 per annum
Weekend overtime at 1.5/2x rate of pay
Temp to perm
As you'll be starting on a temporary basis, you will receive weekly pay initially
