Electrician - PLYMOUTH

Maintenance Electrician - Long Term Role - Plymouth

Your new company
HAYS are working in partnership with a leading provider of affordable housing based in Plymouth; a high performing, efficient and effective housing business focussed on providing good quality homes and services.

Your new role
You will join as a skilled and competent Electrician. Operating within a building maintenance setting, you will take ownership of a wide range of housing maintenance tasks, including electrical inspections, testing and repairs to properties. Your role will involve using an electronic tablet in order to plan and schedule specific tasks, and you’ll also need to engage and liaise with tenants living in the properties, in order to ensure the best levels of customer service are achieved at all times.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position, you will need to have either a 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification, alongside 2391 Test and Inspect. You will have ideally worked as an Electrician within a maintenance setting previously, working within occupied properties, engaging with tenants, and building users in order to achieve excellent levels of customer service.

What you'll get in return
You will initially receive a contract with 6 months in duration, however this is highly likely to extend beyond this point. If you are seeking permanent employment, then this could be a fantastic opportunity to progress longer term with your new company, as it is likely that permanent options may materialise. You’ll receive a basic rate of pay for this role of £25 per hour, you’ll also accrue a holiday entitlement on top of this basic rate. You’ll be paid on a weekly basis and will be able to work 37 hours per week, although overtime, paid at time and a half, could also be available. Tools and transport required to carry out the works will all be provided.
