We are pleased to be working with a major UK Law Firm in their search for a Senior Solicitor (Senior Associate / Director Level) to join their growing defence Litigation team in Belfast.

Your new role

• In your new role you will have responsibility for developing and maintaining key and new client relationships, including attendance at appropriate client meetings.
• Handling your own caseload across disease, motor, and fraud, including high value/complex/nominated cases with appropriate assistance and agreed performance metrics (chargeable hours and billing)
• Assisting in increasing the profile of the firm in the Disease market (which may include the production of marketing information including articles/blogs, delivering training/seminars etc)
• Contributing to relevant contract tender submissions
• Leading the development of key strategies to combat opponent behaviours

What you'll need to succeed

Essential

• You will be a qualified Solicitor 10YRS PQE + with previous experience in litigated defendant insurance work up to £500k, particularly industrial disease claims including hearing loss, HAVS, Mesothelioma, Plaques and Asbestosis claims and Dermatitis, Covid and Stress Claims.
• Experience in defence of motor and fraud claims.
• An ability to prioritise workload & strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work with case management systems.

Desirable

• Experience in EL/PL casualty cases.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to identify pragmatic solutions to challenges
