The organisation are looking to welcome a Credit Control Team Leader to their finance team to paly a vital role in sustaining, growing and elevating the credit function at the heart of the business.
Your new role
You will be supporting and leading team of credit controllers, with varied duties including:
Managing a team of 8 Credit Controllers
- Ensure the maintenance of ledgers recording customer debt, communications, queries and outcomes
- Achieving goals for customer satisfaction
- Resolution, negotiation and conclusion of debt and bad debt cases, with both internal and external partners
- Accurate and timely transaction processing, including reconciliation, cash allocation, credit, invoice and remittance processing
- Performance of accurate administration of customer account and case notes
- Support developing and growing the skills and capabilities of the Credit Controllers and Credit Control Assistants
- Support recognising, coaching and managing the performance of the Credit Controllers and Credit Control Assistants
- Work closely with the customer and necessary operational teams to ensure effective resolution of customer debt
- Responsible for ensuring accurate updating of relevant systems with key information to enable operational reporting and tracking of KPIs
- Responsible for Credit Controllers and Credit Control Assistants governance and adherence to procedures and compliance with company policy and best practice
- Responsible for the compliance of, and improvements to the end to end order to cash process, policies and procedures both individually and for team members
- Responsible for adherence to employee management policies and procedures (including but not limited to Absence, Performance Management.
- This role is working in the Wolverhampton office, full time.

- Demonstrate Credit Control experience and experience of leading a team
- Demonstrate understanding of Accounting processes & procedures
- Strong ability to resolve challenging situations in a clear, empathetic, conciliatory manner
- Demonstrate competence in using Microsoft Office tools
- A proven track record of providing strong customer service
- Demonstrate ability to consistently achieve targets
- Knowledge and demonstrated skills in utilising ERP systems effectively
