A well established business in the Huddersfield area seeking an experienced Credit Manager

A well established business with offices across the UK are seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead their Huddersfield based team on an interim basis.

Your new role
Manage the daily function of the credit control department in Huddersfield, including

    1. Managing the new credit customer approval process for all customer accounts
    2. Administering direct debit collections for all customers on Direct Debit
    3. Providing customer statements and responding to customer queries for the depots
    4. Processing payments received directly into the bank account for the depots
    5. Enforcing credit terms and chasing overdue payments for accounts managed through Centralised Credit Control (some accounts are managed by the Depots)
    6. Provision of management information on debtor balances for the branded depots
  1. Review and improve the existing procedures and policies
    1. Work with Finance, Depot Operations and Sales functions to document best practice requirements for Central Credit Control and for Depot Managed Debt
    2. Review existing customer limits and payment terms against the best practice requirements and agree resolutions to any exceptions
    3. Align Centralised Credit Control process to the agreed best practice
    4. Establish centralised reporting and control procedures to monitor best practice compliance for Depot Managed Debt
  1. Oversee the migration of the debtors ledger from Infinium to Open Accounts
    1. Work with IT to ensure smooth transition of open balances
    2. Work with IT to ensure new system has the functionality to support the customer requirements
    3. Adapt Huddersfield operational practices to work effectively with the new systems

You will be an experienced Credit Control Manager with experience of leading a substantial team.
