The South West London Procurement Partnership (SWLPP) came together on 1st April 2021 as a new, single procurement service acting directly on behalf of Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, Epsom & St. Helier NHS Trust., Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and St. George’s NHS Foundation Trust whilst also providing services to the wider South West London integrated care system.
The new service is hosted by St. George’s NHS Foundation Trust. The purpose of the new service is to deliver better outcomes for our partners through delivery at scale. This approach will have benefits for patients, staff and the wider health economy. The creation of SWLPP is a critical foundation in developing the common infrastructure that will enable system-level transformation in patient care and support increased financial sustainability.
The Procurement department operates as a financial steward managing the Services’ non-pay expenditure and performs a strategic business management role in support of the Services’ annual business plans.
This post (which is a new role) represents an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of supporting high-quality clinical care through the effective management of SWL Procurement Partnership’s contract database. The comprehensiveness and accuracy of the contract database are critically important in enabling SWLPP to obtain greater value for money from its contracts and re-procurement processes.
The Contract Data and Administration (CDA) Manager will manage a small team of contract administrators to ensure the contract database is correctly maintained.
The CDA Manager will have responsibility for optimising and managing all contract database-related processes so that efficiency and accuracy are improved. The role will suit the kind of person who enjoys taking ownership of a service and taking multiple, logical, proactive steps to make it excellent.
The CDA manager will initially spend approximately 30% of their time on contract administration but this should be reduced as data quality and processes are enhanced.
The Procurement Team prides itself on being an enthusiastic, supportive, hard-working and approachable service, and the post-holder is expected to demonstrate these values in their everyday work. We are looking for motivated people with strong inter-personal skills and an ability to work under tight deadlines.
The post-holder will be expected to work in the SWLPP office, primarily at St George’s Hospital but also at the other 3 sites, on at least three days a week and to work from home on other days. Which days those will be and the hours on each day will be agreed between the post-holder and the Head of Contract Management.
