Customer Service - Preston - 37 hours per week - Monday-Friday - temp-perm

Your new company
You will be working for a well-known pension service provider for the local government. Their aim is to help clients reduce pension deficits, improve investment returns, and provide an excellent service to their members.

Your new role
Support the Risk & Compliance Team with complaint casework and working towards resolving complaints in a timely manner in line with the companies standard practice, regulatory guidelines, and SLAs. This role will primarily work on resolving complaints via written response (email), though occasional telephony may be required.

Key Accountabilities
• Logging complaints and contacting Clients and Members and ensuring all correspondence is recorded appropriately
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with complainants
• De-escalate and look to resolve difficult customer situation
• Coordinate the collation, investigate and review supporting documents
• Support the wider team to administer the complaints handling process
• Provide high-level of responses
• Problem solve and find appropriate resolutions to deliver performance targets


What you'll need to succeed
• Previous experience handling customer complaints
• Strong customer service skills, working as an empathetic and adaptable team member.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Organised with a key eye for detail
• IT Skills (including MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience working within a financial sector is desirable but no essential

What you'll get in return
in return you will be working on a 2-month temporary contract, with potential to go permanent. £10.65 per hour, 37 hours per week, gaining experience from working in a large organisation. This role offers hybrid working, you will work 1-2 days based in the office in the centre of Preston then the remaining days from home. Full training is given, and you will embark on the training course to give you the best opportunity possible to succeed.
