Your new role
As the Community and Events Fundraising Manager you will be responsible for growing the Community and Events Fundraising programme, establishing events, growing third party event participation and maximising public participation in challenge events.

You will need to research, identify and develop any new fundraising opportunities which fit into the calendar, adding to the annual community events calendar, taking responsibility for events marketing, evaluation and refinement of the programmes.

You will take a lead on fundraising with local groups, feed into the digital strategy for fundraising programmes and achieve the agreed fundraising targets by creating an engaging programme of activities, identifying potential supporters, maximise annual fundraising potential and attracting new supporters to the cause.

You will organise and run key fundraising, proposing strategies to maximise community engagement and support for the programme, proactively recruiting new supporters, volunteers and companies, prioritise events, evaluate event partnership opportunities and review outcome against activities and event goals.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be highly motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and manage your own projects.

Essential experience with developing new fundraising event ideas, leading on the organisation of fundraising events, be able to develop, implement and monitor plans, present budgets and interpret financial information. You will have a keen eye for assessing new opportunities and have a natural flair for recruiting and developing individuals and groups to maximise their own fundraising or events success.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are paramount to this role as is the ability to handle the detailed content involved in event and function management. all whilst ensuring supports of the organisation feel appreciated and continue building strong relationships with them.
