Communication Campaign Manager - Commonwealth Games

Temp Communications Manager - Start w/c 13th June - £200/day - Common wealth games project
Your new company
Hays are currently supporting Birmingham City Council to recruit a Communication Campaign Manager to start ASAP. With the games fast approaching, they need an experienced Communications Manager to support with the Campaign around the Queen's Baton Relay.

Your new role
As interim Communications Campaign Manager, you will be working closely with stakeholders, ensuring that there is a clear outline and delivery of the communications plan across social media, radio, and more traditional forms of communications. You will work alongside the team, including press manager, to ensure that releases are sent out to really engage with the community and relevant audiences. The successful post holder will also act as a spokes person, attending meetings and feeding back on KPI's and objectives to seniors.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role of Communications Campaign manager, you will have extensive Comms experience, an interest and (hopefully) a passion for sporting events. We're looking for a well organised and confident candidate who is used to working in an extremely fast paced environment. You will need to be flexible with working hours - This is not a standard 9-5 role. You will be contactable when needed and during games times, you will need to work rotational shift patterns between 6am and midnight.

What you'll get in return
We will be paying a competitive day rate for this role, paying c.200/day, though there may be scope for outstanding candidates. You will be provided with a company laptop, providing you with the ability to work on a hybrid pattern, though you will need to work in the city centre office every Monday.
