Your new company

A forward-thinking private sector organisation based in the South West that has gone through extensive growth is now looking to recruit in their supply chain team. The organisation is split into two, supplying separate markets that are also interlinked.

Your new role

  • Develop and support the supplier selection strategy and development of existing suppliers via an audit process and supplier relationship management with the use of KPI’s.
  • In line with the business requirements, negotiate pricing, delivery, payment terms, stocking methods and inventory management in conjunction with the sales forecast requirements whilst continually improving the quality of suppliers and decreasing defect rates.
  • Managing a predetermined budget and with the expectation to deliver cost reducing measures in line with the departmental savings plan.
  • Negotiate and create SLAs with key suppliers, whilst ensuring the company’s business needs are met.
  • Create, maintain, promote commodity strategies for efficiency and transparency, streamlining all processes internally where applicable. Easy access for Purchase administration to execute your PO’s.
  • Planning of Forecast placement with suppliers in line with forecasting strategy and cadence, raising Forecast BPO following approval for future demand.
  • Manage Purchase Orders to delivery receipt to exceed customer expectations.
  • Action discrepancies in line with company procedure and drive continuous improvement within the department and through suppliers.
  • Manage and review sourcing strategies based on compliance and audit requirements.
  • Maintain system integrity and process

What you'll need to succeed

  • A minimum of 2 years Procurement experience
  • Excellent inter-personal & communication skills at all levels
  • Teamwork and Leadership approach
  • Attention to Detail.
  • Enthusiasm for problem solving/creativity.
  • Desire to learn and improve.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
