We want to make this an even greater part of our future, so we are currently seeking a Bespoke Release Engineer in our clients Bespoke Automotive Engineering department.
Responsible for creation of Engineering Releases for Bespoke Components/systems that meet the requirements of Order placement deadlines and comply to the Vehicle WLTP weight requirements. Publication of all Bespoke Drawings in Global systems.· Lead and analyse the requirements of Engineers and Manufacturing technologies to create an Engineering Release for new Bespoke Features that generates the required BOM for logistics and assembly processes to build a unique vehicle. Manage own work landscape to deliver Bespoke projects.· Create and release Format DZA drawing files from Prisma CAD that supports the Engineering Releases and the part procurement processes.· Maintenance of Bespoke Release database against continuously changing Series Engineering Master data TAIS database. This is essential to avoid BOM errors in the Goodwood logistics process.· Problem resolution of Bespoke and Series Parts database ambiguities ensuring achievement of BDQV Quality and Resolution targets. Problem resolution through the PMP process for any Production impact topics.· Manage the development of the engineering parts list process to improve IFF release quality and provide improved transparency to the wider bespoke team.· Ensure all Bespoke feature projects comply with the latest Vehicle WLTP requirements for weight, liaising with the relevant Regulation and homologation departments, leading the resolution of conflict between cross divisional process partners.· Degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline· Experience of Automotive Product Change Management processes· Sufficient experience of Automotive Manufacturing processes and sequences, preferably low and high-volume facilities.· Experience of Sales Order and Release systems (e.g. Configurator, OKA, Tais, IFF,)· Extensive knowledge of Logistics SAP and BOM creation systems and an understanding of Lead Time targets and Stock Strategy.· Business/technical German language would be advantageous.· Good Interpersonal Skills are a prerequisite to effectively manage and motivate a professional multi-skilled team to deliver our defined often tight Bespoke business targets.
