Assistant Management Accountant opportunity to work for luxury hospitality group based in South West London

Your new company

Privately held group, which designs, develops and operates some of the world’s most beautiful, technologically innovative facilities that house year-round family-orientated, indoor and outdoor acquatic facilities focused on fun, wellness and relaxation. They are in the process of setting up a new facility and strengthening their head office team in London.

Your new role
Assisting the financial controller with running the accounts for 5 sites but will grow over time as new projects are set up. This will include

  • Administration of purchase ledgers (capture and filing of invoices, loading to Concur for approval, uploading to Xero) and setting up monthly/bi-monthly payment runs for approval
  • Administration of Xero and Concur for new suppliers, project codes, employee data
  • Expense claim management
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Monthly upload of timesheet information to Excel reports
  • Help prepare schedules for periodic Group recharges
  • Maintaining fixed asset register
  • Support audit process in UK and liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Assistance with banking and HMRC queries
  • General financial administration
  • Ad-hoc duties and projects as required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Studying towards Qualification: CIMA/ACCA/AAT
  • 2-3 years experience in transactional role
  • Experience of Xero, Concur or similar helpful
  • Good Excel skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Language skills (German or Romanian) an advantage
Flexibility in a fast changing environment and ability to adapt to changing requirement
Note: this is a hybrid role with one day working from home, 4 in the office, based role with hours of 9-5.30
