Aerospace Bid Engineer/Estimator

Bid Engineer/Cost Engineer/Estimator Location: Derby, Industry: Aerospace, Salary: £35,000 - £50,000

The Client is a leading market leading Aerospace manufacturer who is seeking an experienced and technically focused Bid Engineer to join their team due to extensive and continued growth. This would suit a candidate who has previously been working in a similar role, namely Bid Engineer, Cost Engineer, Sales Engineer, Bom Controller or Estimator. While Aerospace experience would be preferred, relevant experience from an alternate manufacturing background will be considered.

With extensive growth over the last 5 years, and an aggressive growth plan for the next 5 years, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a well renowned, market leading brand within Aerospace. This is a truly international company, with a strong global presence and a centralised Bid function in the UK based global headquarters, as such, the role is integral to the global success of the company.

The primary responsibility of the position is the initial analysis of customer Request for Proposal. A proven ability to accurately interpret a variety of Technical Drawings in varying formats with absolute precision is essential to the position. Extensive Excel knowledge and experience is crucial due to the Bespoke Excel format used within the role.

You will be working closely with the Bid Management team to ensure all relevant costs are accurately
inputted into the company bid template and some degree of flexibility will be required in order to effectively support the team of Estimators where appropriate.

This role will suit a technical heavyweight, with exceptional attention to detail. Good communication skills are essential as you will be required to effectively communicate across departments and interact with a variety of stakeholders within the business.
