Working for this forward thinking, innovative research institute this role will be a varied and interesting role providing PA support to the Head of Division and HR & finance support to the rest of the team.

Your new role
You will have primary responsibility for the HR and Financial management and administration for the division. As Divisional Administrator your role will encompass all areas including HR, Finance and Administration/PA support. Typical responsibilities will include providing HR policy advice to the Head of Division, ensuring implementation of corporate HR policies, managing recruitment campaigns, providing advice and guidance on job descriptions and person specifications, managing recruitment of senior positions, sickness and absence management and reporting, managing appraisals, managing onboarding, managing HR data and scheduling and minuting divisional staff meetings. Alongside this you will manage some of the finance functions for the division including managing salary budgets, annual forecasting and reforecasting of staffing salaries, monitoring monthly spends and reviewing finance reports. Lastly, you will provide PA support to the team and Head of Division managing meetings, diaries, travel and specific projects. This will be a very varied and interesting role with the opportunity to gain exposure to many different areas of the business.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you should ideally have previous PA experience at Head of level and some experience within HR and finance alongside this would be desirable. Experience in a diverse administration role managing different priorities would be ideal. You should be highly organised and motivated to deliver exceptional results and be willing to take on additional responsibilities when needed. You should be highly IT literate and adapt to new situations and environments and be able to talk to and interact with people at all levels. You should have well-developed problem-solving skills and a proven ability to work in situations where senior management advice is not readily available. You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What you'll get in return
This is a 6-month fixed term contract position starting as soon as possible. Our client can consider full time hours (36 per week) or part time hours. Based in their fantastic offices in central Cambridge there is free on-site parking or excellent links to public transport. The salary offered for this role is DOE within the range of £32,000 - £40,000 per annum. Hybrid working is offered but an ability to be present in the office is preferred and ideal for this role.
