Your new role
Due to an increase in workload, my client is actively recruiting for a Head of Relationships, Communications & Readiness to join their busy team. This position requires exceptional leader and influencer who can build relationships, provide a communications service and assure the programme that transition into live operations will be successful.
Responsibilities
• Provide visible and effective leadership of stakeholder relationships, communications, business change and readiness for live operations. Work with senior stakeholders to define a clear vision and champion the programme.
• Review and approve content for communications ensuring all necessary parties and stakeholders are included.
• Lead a robust and deliverable communication and stakeholder relationship service to workstream leads and programme colleagues. Ensure consistency of voice, tone and message across all channels.
• Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, advocates and partners, to gather intelligence and build situational awareness.
• Respond to ministerial and programme priorities and lead the response to high volume commissions on behalf of the programme.
• Lead the creation and management of the business readiness criteria across the programme. Lead and assure the go/no go decision points.
• Own the change and readiness plan for the programme and provide input and integration into the overall plan.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the team against objectives. Review lessons learned and compare with industry best practice to identify areas for improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
• Experience working as a senior engagement or communications professional with experience in a public sector environment
• Strong team leadership and directive capability to instil confidence and drive action
• Ability to effectively manage a number of key projects in tight time frames and on budget
• Multi-channel engagement/ communications experience at a holistic level
• Strong stakeholder management experience both internally and externally
• Capability to effectively communicate across a variety of channels to ensure engagement
• Experience working in a hands on and fast paced engagement role – essential
What you'll get in return
Flexible working options available. You will also have the opportunity to earn £600 - £650 per day (in scope of IR35).
