Accounts Assistant required by fast growing acquisitive Lincoln company

Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a fast growing service provider in Lincoln looking for an Accounts Assistant for a newly created role to cope with company growth.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this full-time role will see you develop into a supporting role to the Finance Manager where you will be be able to cover ledger processing and credit control but will also see you getting more and more involved in CIS, VAT returns, fixed assets, forecasting, reporting, P&L, Accruals & Prepayments, cashflows and budgeting using Sage Line 50/Sage Payroll and extensive Excel.

What you'll need to succeed
You will already have proven experience in ledger processing, petty cash and ideally some payroll administration and credit control exposure. You will be used to working in a really busy commercial environment and not be afraid to turn your hand to whatever is required in the office. You may well be studying towards your AAT and will be looking at developing your skills with your next position to progress. You will have experience of Sage Line 50 and have strong Excel skills (manipulation/exporting/lookups/ifs/statements etc). You will be outgoing, used to being busy with a great work ethic and working to tight deadlines in a team. You will strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal. You will be living in the Lincoln area. The client may consider a temporary to permanent role so individuals available at short notice would be advantageous but it is also fine to be on a notice period.
