Family Support Worker Antrim Contract full time role to March 2021

Your new role
This project aims to support families when difficulties arise before they need involvement with statutory services. As Family Support Practitioner you will seek to address issues of concern, achieve sustainable change, promote capability and capacity within families to problem solve difficulties and coordinate person centred, evidence based, early intervention for families with children aged 0-17 years. This is an outreach service working with Families within the Northern Trust and based from an office in Antrim.

This will be a contracted role with funding until March 2021 with the potential possibility of extension. It will be a Mon – Fri 9-5 role working 37 hours per week with some evening flexibility due to the nature of the role.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or above or equivalent/related health, counselling or social care qualification. OR 5 years’ experience working in a multi-disciplinary team providing services to families and children aged 0-18 years.
  • Good working knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Previous experience of working with young people aged between 0 – 17 years and their families in a supportive capacity
  • Full UK driving license, access to car and ability to travel within the Northern Trust area
  • Competence in the use of IT packages including MS Windows and Office along with email and internet and good record keeping.
