CAD/CAM Technician

Working as a CAD/CAM Technician with an established company providing project work for a range of facilities.

Your new company
They are established with over 40 years experience in their industry. They have a fabrication facility that uses innovation and CAD/CAM software to create their products.

Your new role
You will be tasked with programming CAD/CAM software in order to aid the manufacturing of the sheet metal packages they produce. You will be asked to undertake all aspects of part drawings from the customer enquiries. They also want you to generate sheet metal development patterns from customer drawings and convert them into CNC programs. You will also need to develop strong working relationships with both customers and colleagues and be able to prepare material take-offs and manufacturing schedules from engineering drawings. You will be working 37.5 hours per week.

What you'll need to succeed
You need previous sheet metal working experience with a minimum 3 years. Good knowledge of engineering drawings is required and knowledge and experience with Autocad or Solidworks is essential for the role. Knowledge of Radan sheet metal is also desirable although training can be provided. You need to have excellent organisational skills and be effective at creating relationships.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary up to £28,000. Furthermore you will receive 32 days annual leave including bank holidays as well as joining the company pension scheme.
