Our client is a well established private sector organisation based in West Bromwich.

Your new role
Our client is seeking a talented Test Automation Lead to take responsibility for analysing their automation requirements and work with different departments to maintain, expand and build the automation capability and library of scripts.

You'll work with colleagues to evaluate current and future test automation requirements, selecting appropriate test tools to script and maintain test automation libraries. You'll also coach and mentor team members in test automation scripting and execution as required. Working closely with stake holders, you'll forecast automation requirements and improve capability and coverage.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to influence and expand automated testing.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Testing qualification such as ISTQB.
  • Experience of working in a DevOps and/or Agile environment.
  • Extensive experience of multi-tier test automation and test methodologies, tools and frameworks, for Agile/DevOps & waterfall test delivery.
  • Ability to lead and challenge team members
  • Ability to analyse and understand business information and metrics.
  • Experience in test practice improvements – devising training and progression plans.
  • Experience in assessing test tool suitability and supplier procurement, negotiation and engagement.
  • Experience of maintaining and implementing a Test Automation Framework
  • Good working knowledge of current automation tools (such as Appium, Selenium, Postman, Cucumber and/or UFT) and technologies, good technical ability and ideally be proficient at scripting in two or more of C#, Python, Javascript, SQL, Ruby and/or Perl.
  • A financial background is advantageous

What you'll get in return
You'll receive salary in the region of £31,500 depending on experience plus excellent benefits.
