SEN Teaching Assistant required to carry out temporary cover at SEN School in Central Birmingham, KS4 - SEMH

Your new company
An SEN School in central Birmingham requires a Teaching Assistant to carry out temporary cover during the autumn term. The role would start in September, be 5 days a week, 8.30 am - 3.30 pm and would be term time only. The school require the cover whilst they look to re-advertise a position. Any candidate carrying out the temporary cover would be welcome to apply.

Your new role
You would be carrying out general classroom support with KS4 pupils who have social, emotional and mental health issues. You would be supporting them in their day to day learning and within the context of their special. needs. You will be working closely with the class teachers within each subject to ensure that pupils are supported effectively within their learning plans.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant or above. You will have recent experience of working with young people with SEMH that Hays will be able to obtain satisfactory references for and you will ideally have been Team Teach trained or equivalent.
