Actuarial Analyst x2 12-18m FTC

Actuarial Analyst, Reserving, IFRS17, General Insurance, London, 12-18m FTC, £50k up to £74k
Your new company
My client, a well-known insurer, is currently going through various change programmes, and they are growing their teams to ensure that they can deliver now and, in the future.

They are looking for 2-3 Actuarial Analysts to join their wider finance teams on a 12-18-month Fixed Term Contract basis.

Your new role
Within this exciting opportunity, there will be a number of key responsibilities that you will be undertaking. Some I have detailed below.

Firstly, you will provide data, analytical support and recommendations to the wider teams by accurately mining data records, providing insightful analysis to inform reserving, forecasting and monitoring. You will also review work and provide guidance and feedback to less experienced team members, taking on a mentoring role to ensure knowledge is constantly shared.

In addition, they will need you to help them with advice around uncertainties, which come equally from the natural volatility of large claims or from a change in legislation, such as IFRS 17 which they are preparing for now.

As mentioned, those mentioned above are just a selection of responsibilities within the role

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for these roles, you will be a technically strong actuarial analyst from a GI background, as well as having a good understanding of regulations. Although previous reserving / IFRS17 is advantageous, my client is also open to considering other backgrounds for these positions.

Ideally you will be able to start ASAP, but those on a 1-month notice period will also be considered

What you'll get in return
Depending on your level of experience and suitability, the base salary range on offer is from c. £50k up to £74k

Flexible working options available.
