Care Manager

Care Manager required for organisation in Birmingham looking after asylum seekers and refugees.

Your new company
Your new company are an organisation that support young people preparing for adulthood, promoting independence to post 18 years old life. This is done by supporting the emotional, intellectual and physical development of the young people. This will be done by practical examples, training and motivating the young people into living independently in the near future.

Your new role
Your new role as Care Manager will entail looking after a group of 7/8 support workers in the asylum seekers and refugees team. Day to day duties vary dependent on case load of service users. Common duties include, working alongside social services and delegating new service users to the support workers, conducting monthly appraisals and monthly service meetings.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you will need a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social care or Management and experience working with young people. It is desirable that you have worked with young refugees so you have an understanding of their needs and backgrounds - however if you don't the organisation is happy to train and teach you to high standard to give you the best possible knowledge and understandings of the young people.

What you'll get in return
The organisation is advertising this post as a temporary to permanent vacancy, therefore you will be ideally offered a permanent vacancy at the end of a 12 week probational period. With this is mind the client is open to people applying for this post on a permanent basis.
