Business Improvement Consultant

Interim Business Improvement Consultant, Central Government, London, £650 Per Day LTD, 6 months.

Your new company
The purpose of this role is to review, challenge and improve the business foundations across the organisation. You will lead, develop and manage the programme of work to improve the way we work including helping the organisation prepare in a sustainable way for the upcoming Tailored Review.

Your new role
This role will report to the CEO

The key responsibilities include:
• Leading on the implementation of the organisational recommendations ahead of the tailored review
• Using a variety of sources including audit reports, the organisational recommendations, as well as undertaking an independent review, leading on the development and delivering of a comprehensive project plan for implementing improvements and monitoring the improvement to ensure it works as intended
• Provide consultative support to senior leaders and colleagues in executing their respective processes and initiatives, coaching and guiding on any areas of improvement
• Working in partnership with others to develop and measure standards for business process and identifying improvement opportunities e.g. internal service metrics
• Monitor and chart the progress of the implementation of improvement initiatives
• Utilising a variety of business improvement techniques in order to successfully carry out your role

What you'll need to succeed
First and foremost, to succeed in this role you will have led or held a major role in a Tailored review. This is an intellectually demanding role, requiring close collaboration with senior leaders across the organisation. The successful candidate will be able to make an immediate impact and demonstrate a high degree of personal resilience. They will be a self-starter who is comfortable with exercising their judgment. They will be flexible and adaptable, with the ability and willingness to work at pace in a fast-moving environment. Skills and experience criteria will include:
• Demonstrable experience of delivering business improvement in a complex organisation at a senior level
• Ability to anticipate issues, identify solutions and provide clear advice and guidance to the CEO and Board
• Proven experience of working with and influencing senior leaders
