This organisation is an independent regulator for the travel sector. They are based in offices near Canary Wharf station.
Your new role
You will be responsible for understanding and providing advise on the regulatory functions of the organisation. You will be one of the go to legal expert in providing quality legal advice to colleagues within your targeted area.
You will manage your own caseload, however when it comes to larger matters you will work collaboratively with the wider team. Risk management will also be involved you will be able to identify significant legal risks and highlight to senior colleagues.
You will additionally liaise with other sister organisations / regulators and stakeholders across the industry. Managing these relationships with legal counsels where work is outsourced.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be qualified as a barrister or solicitor in England and Wales or be near completion of a pupillage / training contract. You will additionally need a good knowledge of public law.
It would be advantageous if you had experience in one of more of the following; experience in drafting contracts, specifically in public sector projects; competition law knowledge; working with regulatory law; familiar with data protection and the FOI Act.
