A Global & Luxury Fashion Brand in Manchester are looking for an Outerwear Garment Technologist

Your new company
A rapidly growing Global Fashion Brand based in Manchester are looking for a skilled and experienced Garment Technologist to join their creative team. You will be joining a talented product team and will need to have strong Outerwear Technical skills.

Your new role
You will be part of the creative and product team and will be key in creating detailed, accurate size charts and technical specifications and will also establish grading patterns and samples across all products. You will standardise sizing across all product areas and ensure all technical issues are highlighted and handled accurately and consistently. You will then analyze and update suppliers clearly with areas of improvement and to eliminate future issues. You will take charge of fit sessions and oversee the sample process from start to finish, measuring and checking samples, providing comments and feeding improvements back to the factories for an optimised sample process. You will create strong relationships with factories and customers to provide high quality, commercial product ranges. You will also be involved with fabric and product testing and will measure samples against initial specs.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven garment technology / QC experience working within a fashion team and will need have proven industry experience working with outerwear ideally across both Men’s and Ladieswear. Having previous experience working with leather/Suede is desired. You will need to have strong grading, pattern cutting and testing experience. You will also have excellent communications skills and have worked closely with international factories.
