Your new school
You will have the opportunity to work in several schools across Greater Manchester as a teaching assistant. These schools are in need of day-to-day support throughout the academic year. These schools across Greater Manchester are committed to improving the learning outcome of their pupils and are dedicated to ensuring that all standards are maintained during staff absences. As a result of this, Hays are recruiting for a number of teaching assistants to be available for day-to-day supply work to cover these staff absences.

Your new role
For day-to-day teaching assistant supply work across Greater Manchester, you will be required to cover staff absences, or any other gaps in the staff team. Because of this you will need to be able to work flexible hours and with a range of ages across secondary schools. Having experience with SEN work will also be advantageous. As a teaching assistant you will ensure that the pupils have the necessary support needed to complete tasks in line with the curriculum.

What you'll need to succeed
For teaching assistant roles, you must have relevant experience as a teaching assistant within a secondary school and be confident communicating with pupils, parents and staff. You must have a passion for working with secondary aged pupils as a teaching assistant and be flexible to work across multiple locations in the Greater Manchester area. This is a great opportunity for people who want flexible work without the commitment of a permanent role. All candidates will either need to hold a current and valid DBS certificate registered with the update service or be willing to make an application for a new enhanced disclosure.
