Opportunity to join a regulator as a Litigation Paralegal for 6 months - up to £148 per day

Opportunity for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a non-ministerial department, who are instrumental in inspecting and regulating a range of educational institutions and schools across the UK. They are dedicated to building trust and protecting the interests of students at state and independent schools.

Your new role
As the Litigation Paralegal, under the supervision of the Litigation Lawyer, you will be responsible for the management and co-ordination of litigation work conducted both internally and externally. You will act as the main point of contact for tribunal appeals where the organisation is providing evidence and engage with stakeholders. You will be responsible for the management and preparation of all statistics involving litigation and advisory matters, including FOI requests. furthermore, you will deal with routine queries on legal matters under the supervision of lawyers within the team. Finally, you will undertake legal research and other research, as directed by the Litigation and/or Advisory Lawyers.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the role, you should have a law degree or equivalent legal qualification, with demonstrable experience of working as a paralegal, preferably in the public sector. Furthermore, you should have experience of litigation work and have an understanding of court/tribunal procedures and rules. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to build and maintain successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide professional advice. Finally you must be able to start a role at short notice.
