An exciting 6 month (full time contract) has arisen for a Field Service Engineer in Sheffield with a leading Telecommunications Company. This company is one of the largest in the UK and are committed to providing products and services of the highest quality.

Your New job

In a nutshell, it’s all about equipment for our new Field Service Engineers. You’ll collect our customers’ tech from active customers who forget to return their equipment after a swap or upgrade, plus recover equipment from those who no longer subscribe to our services. You don’t need experience or technical knowledge as our in-depth training programme will get you up to speed. Out and about in one of our vehicles, you will be representing our brand on the front line, so will need to:

  • Build connections that really matter, both in person and over the phone, putting our customers at the heart of everything you do.
  • Forge strong relationships quickly with the customers you’re visiting.
  • Be confident in talking about our client’s products and services – there may be sales potential.
  • Have previous experience in a customer centric target driven role.
  • Identify opportunities to refer new customers to our client when visiting properties. For every new customer you get to join our network you’ll bag a referral bonus!
  • Hold a manual driving license with no more than 6 points and be comfortable travelling within an hour’s radius of the advertised location.

The hours for this role are:
  • Week 1 - 11am to 7pm Tuesday - Friday. 8am to 4pm Saturday
  • Week 2 – 11am to 7pm Monday - Thursday. 8am to 4pm Friday

What you’ll need to succeed Essential skills required:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic numeracy (GCSE Maths or Equivalent Grade C or above)
  • Full UK driving license (no more than 6 points)
  • Previous experience dealing with customers
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong communication skills, reliance, confident with a friendly personality to connect with customers)
  • To be comfortable speaking with our customers over the phone
  • To be comfortable working in a role that requires you to be out and about visiting customers in all weathers and environments
  • A logical approach to work and problem solving

Desirable skills:
  • Direct customer facing experience
  • Experience of meeting targets or achieving result
  • Route planning
