The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) is a non-departmental government body created through the Energy Act 2004 to ensure the safe and efficient clean-up of the UK’s nuclear legacy. The mission of the NDA Group is clear; ‘To clean up the UK’s earliest nuclear sites safely, securely and cost-effectively with care for people and the environment.’

The organisation is entering a period of considerable change and the way in which they organise themselves is evolving. NDA are transforming how they manage some of their businesses to find more effective and effective ways of providing nuclear clean-up and decommissioning on behalf of the tax payer.

Your new role

This role is responsible for delivery of the NDA audit plan, and supporting delivery of the Subsidiary audit plan, by leading the day-to-day management and coordination of audits. Delivering a variety of high complexity and sensitivity audits, within a visible role in the business, the role involves actively engaging stakeholders at all levels, including Executive and Non-Executives to identify business needs; delivering audit assignments to a high standard; reporting audit results; supporting delivery of the Group Internal Audit Target Operating Model (TOM) and the production of various reports for the NDA and Subsidiary Executive and Audit and Risk Assurance Committee (ARAC).

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be a CCAB Qualified Chartered Accountant or member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CMIIA)
