GIS and Data Technical Support Officer

GIS Contract - Stirling - 5 month initial - £150, 175 pd

Your new company
You will be working for a 3rd sector organisation with HQ in Stirling. They are responsible for delivering solutions to local authorities helping Scotland to become more efficient in its use of resources.

Your new role

You will be working closely with Programme Managers to support a range of programme specific GIS activities that are required to support delivery of key workstreams across the organisation, including management of technical and/or research projects and stakeholder engagement activities.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Extensive experience of using GIS systems to manipulate datasets e.g. ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing project plans
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining GIS datasets for monitoring and analysis
  • Experience of developing and supporting data gathering projects, including software development
  • Demonstrable exceptional version control and data management capabilities
  • Evidence of working with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders to deliver outcomes
  • Experience in the use of IT systems for administration and management (e.g. MS Office, Project Management, CRM Systems)
  • Good communication skills
