Hays Education work with many local schools across the Bristol and North Somerset area. Schools go through their busiest period of the year at the start of the academic year and typically have a back-log of administration tasks. We are working in conjunction with local schools in the search for temporary School Support staff to support their school office in. Prior experience working in a school is essential.

We are seeking temporary staff who are looking for term time only work currently and are keen to work on this basis throughout the year.

Your new role

As a school administrator, you will be responsible for day-to-day system administration tasks using SIMS/Integris/ISAMs/Scholar Pack – this will include monitoring attendance, updating pupil information and sending correspondence to parents. You will also be responsible for liaising with parents both in person and over the telephone, ensuring daily registers are completed accurately and in a timely manner, meeting and greeting all stakeholders at the main reception (acting as the face of the school) and cash handling of pupil’s dinner/trip money.

What you'll need to succeed

You must have prior experience working as an administrator or receptionist in a school environment and will have experience using school systems such as SIMS or Integris. It is fundamental that you are highly organised and are comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment. You will be confident in communicating with a variety of key stakeholders; including parents, teachers, management and pupil.
