SEN Teacher and Autism Lead needed for January start role in Wandsworth
Job Title: SEN Teacher and Autism Lead
Location: Wandsworth
Contract Type: Long Term Temporary/Permanent Job
Start Date: January (with the possibility of earlier start)
Salary: Inner London Main Pay Scale

• This vacancy is designed for someone who can utilise their own initiative and has experience working with students with Autism

Your New Role:
• Work as the lead for the SEN department
• Must be a Qualified teacher (holds a QTS)
• Specialist in working with students with autism and be qualified
• Manage a team of 8 LSAs and 1 SEN teacher
• Support students with various Special Educational Needs
• Work closely with the LSAs and SLT to create IEP's and EHC's
• Promoting inclusion within the class
• Comfortably use PECS and Makaton

What you’ll need to succeed:

• QTS in education (or equivalent).
• Experience delivering the curriculum
• To be a motivated and passionate teacher, willing to push and support students to reach their full abilities
• Previous experience working in a secondary school environment
• Ability to manage a team to achieve set targets
• Ability to work as a team and efficiently settle in the department
