This primary school based in the London Borough of Southwark are looking to appoint 2 graduate Special Educational (SEN) Teaching Assistants to work with children in year 3 and year 6 who are working through ASD (Autism).

Your new role
Your new role will involve you to work with students in year 3 and year 6 in small groups to increase the students social and academic ability.

Your new role will involve you in working with a student on a one-to-one basis in year 3 and year 6 to increase the students’ social and academic ability.

You will be working closely with the class teachers and with the SENCO to create plans which include innovative ways to help your child progress with their peers. You will then carry these plans with the SEN child you have been allocated to and provide regular feedback to the SENCO and child’s parents.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to be a graduate in any discipline and have a proven interest in education.

In this role you will need to be experience in working with children with various special educational needs and be committed to supporting children further in this area. Although it is not essential, it would be desirable that you have a degree in a related discipline such as Psychology, Education Studies or Speech and Language.
