ICT Technician

Experienced school IT Technician required to work on a temporary contractor basis

Hays Education are actively seeking for an IT Technician in the Coventry area. We are looking for candidates who have previously worked in a similar position within the Education sector who would be available to work on a temporary and permanent basis depending on the requirements at the time, having an existing DBS would be advantageous.

Your new role

As a school IT Technician, you will work closely with fellow technicians and Network managers to develop and streamline the operations of the ICT Department and school as a whole. You will be required to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions. You will also perform day to day functions ensuring all ICT functions across the school are maintained and offer effective and efficient resources to all users.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will need to have an outstanding all-round knowledge of IT hardware, software and appropriate ICT qualifications are desirable. The individual will need to have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with staff and students with varying ICT expertise; previous experience of carrying out a similar client facing role would be an advantage. DBS checks and safeguarding are essential to work in any of our Hays Education Support.
