IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE CANDIDATES WILL BE PREFERRED

Your new company
Launched in January 2019, we are bringing together three respected bodies of financial guidance into one single organisation: the Money Advice Service, The Pensions Advisory Service and Pension Wise.

As a new organisation, our approach is to put the customer at the heart of everything we do. We will be working collaboratively with our key stakeholders to ensure that all UK citizens can easily access the information they need to make the most of their money and pensions throughout their lives. This is an exciting vision that we want to get right. We will be using 2019 to understand what our customers and stakeholders need from the new organisation. Based on that, we will be innovating and testing ways of improving information and guidance across all channels so we can develop new integrated customer services and journeys that are both efficient and effective.

Your new role
The overall purpose of this role is to provide evaluation leadership and support for a wide range of evaluation projects at the Money and Pensions Service in 2019/20.

Key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Designing and overseeing light-touch in-house evaluations, where appropriate.
  • Writing briefs and delivering presentations to update colleagues (including the Executive Leadership Team) and external stakeholders (including government) on progress and findings.
  • Helping the wider Insight & Evaluation team to develop its offer, contributing to discussions about how best to understand insight and evidence about financial capability, and how to make it accessible to stakeholders via core resources such as the Financial Capability Evidence Hub.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful on application, it is expected that you will possess the following skills/experience:

  • Solid experience of devising, managing and delivering evaluation studies to support policy development and service delivery
  • Sound knowledge and experience of a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research techniques, including quantitative impact evaluation and the use and analysis of complex datasets
  • Awareness and understanding of behavioural science/behavioural change approaches, and their application.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex and technical information in an engaging and accessible way to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to develop, lead and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills

What you'll get in return
In return you will be placed on a 9 month FTC and will be paid £48,000 per annum (pro-rata).

We actively encourage applications from candidates from all backgrounds, and are committed to having a team representative of the diverse characteristics and experiences of the population we’re working to ensure make the most of their money and pensions now, and in future generations.
