Your new role:

The Leather Goods Product Development and Production Coordinator will will coordinate the development and production of leather goods, with the support of a senior manager and junior assistant. They will be trained in and involved with all aspects of product development, production and quality control, and will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience with product.

Main duties will include:

  • Producing tech packs
  • Creating a bill of materials for each product in the collection
  • Overseeing purchase orders
  • Invoice management
  • Maintain detailed product specification sheets
  • Production stock management
  • Coordination of bulk raw material ordering, delivery, import and export
  • Assisting with running the repair process end-to-end
  • Day to day running of given production categories - from purchase ordering through to delivery to warehouse/point of dispatch
  • Creation of line sheet as a sales tool

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Experience with leather goods
  • Good technical understanding of leather goods construction
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Specific experience in product construction and raw material construction & development
  • Ability to negotiate prices with factories during proto and SMS phases
  • Strong eye for quality control
  • Launch planning
  • SMS forecasting
  • Development sheets
  • Renderings
  • Critical path management
  • Previous experience as a trainer or manager as part of a previous role would be helpful, as you will be working closely with an administrative assistant.
  • Working knowledge of Italian and/or Spanish would be a plus
