Desktop Support Engineer – Insurance, AD, MDM, 1st/2nd Line

Up to £200 per day London Insurance Industry
My client is a specialist Insurance firm based in the City of London, who urgently require a Desktop Support Engineer with 1st and 2nd Line Support experience and previous Active Directory, MDM, Windows as well as basic Networking experience within an Insurance or Financial Services (fast-paced) business environment to join a business critical Infrastructure team ASAP.

As Desktop Support Engineer you will assist office workers with their computer desktop systems, providing computer support services both for software and hardware as well as testing of computers and ensuring that computer systems are functioning properly. You will also be responsible for physical setting up of computers and software system installation for various computer applications and programs, identifying and solving any problems that affect computer operating systems and discussing with individual staff members who work on the computers what the problems are in order to figure out how to help solve the problem(s). In addition you will be expected to provide maintenance of networking systems, maintenance and upgrading of computer systems or offering recommendations on upgrades needed, training staff on how to use computer hardware and software systems, troubleshooting routine problems and maintenance of servers and carrying out other duties as you may be requested by management.

Must have:
• 1st and 2nd Line Desktop Support experience
• Previous Insurance or Financial Services (fast-paced) business environment experience previously, coupled with relevant and current Desktop Support Engineering experience.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Active Directory (AD)
• MDM experience
• Windows
• HP Product knowledge
• Basic Networking / Network Patching
• In terms of team fit, you’ll need to be confident, have a personable and customer-facing approach to work and have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills in order to face off to stakeholders as you will provide Desktop Support for all Business users across all levels of the business.
