Deputy Team Manager Job in Child Protection / CIN, Adolescent Team; Ealing, London £46,500 / Year
Your new company

“We are very good at developing people” Paul Hattan, Head of Children in Need

London Borough of Ealing has been transforming their services to deliver positive outcomes and evidenced based practice for children in care and on the edge of care. They have developed a service structure that ensures their social workers and managers place children and their families are at the heart of everything they do. Their goal now is to change their Good OFSTED rating to an Outstanding one and they need outstanding professionals to join them on this journey.

Your new role

We have an exciting opportunity for Deputy Manager within our Multi Agency Support Team (MAST) working with Adolescent, who will also support building our future work force for tomorrow by supporting the high calibre of newly qualified staff through the ASYE program. We will also look for you to provide senior level case supervision and co-ordinate meetings with a number of partner agencies and professionals. The net result will be that children and families in Ealing benefit from the best possible safeguarding and protection.

The Adolescent MAST team specialises in delivering assessments and intensive interventions to young people aged 13 to 17yrs and their families. It aims to prevent family breakdown and the likelihood of children and young people entering the care system.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for future leaders and as such, you will need to be at the top of your game as a social work professional. You will be an expert in your field, with extensive early intervention, front line child protection and court work experience. You will bring a wealth of knowledge and be inspirational in your approach to managing diverse and complex cases.

You will have background in Youth Services and passion for working with young people.

For the Duty Team Manager role, we would welcome interest from senior social workers who are interested in taking that next step into management and leadership.

HCPC registration and recognisable Social Work Degree is compulsory for this post.

What you'll get in return

Delivering effective social care starts with exceptional leadership. We will support you and together drive the services forward so that children, young people and their families have the right interventions and support they need to live healthy and secure lives in the community. You will receive regular 1:1 and group supervision and you will also have access to our pride and joy: the excellent training and development programmes offered by our in-house team.

We offer generous salary of £44,600 - £46,500

You will be based in our Westside Youth Centre in Ealing Broadway
