Your new company
Based near Milton Keynes, this council has made excellent headway from the start of this year on major improvements and innovative developments to the Children and Young People's Services. A key step in achieving this has come from the new senior management team who are collaborative in ensuring that a genuinely inclusive and supportive working environment is in place to promote innovation, dedication to achievement and high standards of practice.

This council is aiming for outstanding service. To further improve the outcomes for vulnerable children across the borough, we are looking to appoint a highly motivated team manager with a track record of excellent practice.

Your new role
You will join a fast-paced Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team based at the local police station. Your team handles all incoming referrals and you will need to be effective in establishing thresholds and decision making, as well as being highly capable of improving good practice within your team. 

You will receive a high level of support from senior managers who believe strongly in an inclusive style of management. At the same time, you will have the autonomy to take responsibility for the direction and performance of your team.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • A strong team builder who is confident in developing identity and high standards in their team
  • A high standard of quality and good practice, with the ability to translate this to their team
  • A resilient manager who also understands the ethics & values of social work
  • Strong team management or assistant team management experience

What you'll get in return 

  • £52,936 - £60,732 per annum
  • £2,000 Bonus after one year of successful service
