An Independent Financial Adviser job in Guildford with £80K OTE


The Role:


As an Independent Financial Planner with Harding Financial you will provide holistic advice to clients on managing their money in the most profitable, tax efficient and suitable way. The role is focused on advising approximately 80-100 active, private clients and developing professional connections. A number of these clients will be provided to you on joining however there will be a need to develop the client bank further.


Harding Financial is a directly authorised financial advising firm, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. As an independent firm the successful applicant will be able to offer clients whole of market advice. In addition, Harding Financial are authorised and have the relevant processes in place to provide advice on equity release, DB transfers, long-term care and employee benefits; therefore, providing further opportunities for suitably qualified consultants or alternatively a route for referrals.

Typical activities within our role of Independent Financial Planner include;


- Meeting new and existing clients to conduct an assessment of their assets/liabilities, circumstances, attitudes, objectives and priorities.
- Build good relationships with clients and conduct the Harding ongoing service propositions.
- Producing clear and concise financial assessments following a meeting with a client.
- Using our cash flow modelling tool Voyant with clients.
- Working closely with your assigned Paraplanner and Administrator to obtain details of existing client plans, to conduct research, to be responsible for the production of a full Financial Suitability Report and collate and populate relevant forms and documents.
- Working with your Paraplanner and Administrator to implement advice.
- Ensure all advice given is compliant and works in line with company policies and procedures.






Qualifications Required:


- Diploma Level 4 in one of the following:
-- The Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, administered by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
-- The Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA), administered by the ifs School of Finance.
- Specialist qualifications would be beneficial, for example; equity release, defined benefit pensions, long term care, STEP etc.


Harding Financial is working towards Chartered status and therefore is looking for all consultants to continue their development towards Level 6. The business will fund this requirement by means of study material for the exam and the cost of the first exam in each topic. Membership costs for your relevant industry body will also be paid for by the company.


Harding Financial is looking for applicants who currently hold Competent Adviser Status (CAS).


Experience Required:


You must have at least 2 years of experience in an Advising role; ideally within an independent, non-restricted environment. We would like you to have been involved in working with new clients and have experience of delivering an ongoing service to clients.
